Savor Japan : Ichinoseki and Hiraizumi in Iwate Prefecture
[Unique Local Japanese Cuisine: Hiraizumi and Ichinoseki] SAVOR JAPAN certifies areas that provide distinctive culinary experiences and unique local cuisine. We travelled to the first five SAVOR JAPAN regions (certified in 2016) and created one-minute videos about them. Enjoying Japan’s special local delicacies allows a traveler to Japan to go beyond its natural beauty, historic temples and shrines and welcoming local people. In this installment, we introduce Ichinoseki and Hiraizumi in Iwate Prefecture, which have a distinctive mochi(rice cake) culture that has been passed down for generations.
